  the scriptures and the facts support that conclusion...." so ruthrford made some bombshelters..... watch 82 8/15 p.10 "...as a precuation for the saftey of the bethel family, a place of refuge was built in south lansing, new york...it was never needed for that purpose....later transformed into the gilead missionary school.".

  i just witnessed my mother and step father put the end to a friendship my 9 year old sister had with a "worldly" person.

  it was heartbreaking.

  this is someone she has been friends with for a few years and all of a sudden it's a problem now?

  MrFreeze, this will probably be something your sister will remember forever, so hopefully as she gets older this will be something that will show to her that the Witnesses don’t have the love that Jesus spoke about. Although it’s heartbreaking now, it will probably be something that prevents her from being sucked into the cult.

  since my family in still in, i've been recieving "we me you" cards from the congo i was going to.

  i have also recieved a few calls from the congo i move from that's out of the area.

  My suggestion is that you call the guy with cancer. If you don’t want to speak to him personally, call when he and his wife/family may not be there (meeting night for example) and just leave a simple message conveying best wishes for him.

  Otherwise, yes, stay away from the other elders. You are not under any obligation to talk to them, they have no power over you.

  Sheesh, show some self-control and just refuse to reply to their posts. If you reply to them, you’re only encouraging them. Why is so hard for people to understand this???

  Exactly, that’s why it’s wrong for the elders to insist that if there are accusations of abuse, the parents are not to go to the police. The elders are not in the position to investigate the accusation, but the police are.
